We live in the recharge zone for the Edward's Aquifer, which provides 20% of Central Texas's water needs.

Recharge Zone Fractures are where 25% of recharge occurs.  These fractures are characterized by, "Edwards limestone
outcrops at the surface".  Being near a Recharge Zone, and especially a
Fracture means you have to be careful about
              inside the Recharge Zone, since a Karst Aqiufer and is extremely vulnerable to contamination. Karst are
common in the western parts of Williamson County.
